ANU is a public research university located in Canberra, the capital of Australia. They are ranked as the number one university not only in Australia, but in the Southern Hemisphere in the 2022 QS World University Rankings. Established in 1946, ANU is the only university put up by the Parliament of Australia. ANU boasts a total of 6 Nobel Laureates and 49 Rhodes Scholars among its faculty and alumni, along with dozens of past and current heads of the Australian government.

Schools and Departments
History
The origins of ANU dates back to 1929 when Canberra University College (CUC) was established. CUC was the first institution of higher education in the national capital of Australia, and in 1960, CUC was integrated into ANU as the school of General Studies which initially offered education in arts, economics, law, and science.
