About the tutor

I have a PhD in theoretical physics, and am experienced teaching physics at all levels, as well as undergrad maths. I have 8 years experience working as a teaching assistant in Australia and NZ, as well as a private tutor both independently and for tutoring companies. I try to teach so that you understand why the subject works, so you gain much more than just knowing what to write for a test. I like to focus on helping you understand maths and physics in simple, intuitive terms so that you understand the essential idea behind the technical details. This produces significantly better long term results, helps you learn better in general, makes you more independent, and makes you better at reducing difficult problems to a few simple ones. I can also assist with masters level material, such as reading reports, etc, and can also teach graduate level electrodynamics. To share files with me, please email them to matthew.c@talent.platute.com (max file attachment is 7MB). Please send emails only via your email address that is registered with your Platute student account.
